To be a coach is to answer your calling. This can be very different from other professions. Most people who pursue coaching identify with a strong sense of purpose in doing so. In recent years, coaching has become a popular career choice for many individuals. Although there might be different reasons why someone chooses to become a professional coach, it’s not for everyone.

I personally needed a change after more than 25 years working in big organizations and was keen to find a better balance between work and home life. In my quest to find an alternative that would give me a greater feeling of purpose, I worked with some fabulous coaches. I realized that the need to change this is a common feeling for many others who may be feeling burned out or disillusioned or who know they have more to offer the world - all while balancing family life and wanting to contribute to their community. This has become more intense and as we have navigated the additional pressures of the pandemic. I love the work of Bruce Perry and Brene Brown on trauma, as well as Nancy Kline's 'Thinking Environment' and am finding so many aspects of their work overlaps - whether you're working with a client on issues with family dynamics or careers.
Although I trained in early 2020 I have recently been undertaking an ICF-accredited ACTP Diploma and have also been welcomed into the wonderfully eclectic and hugely supportive Coaching community. In my 'other' role I am also a qualified data protection officer, so I'm starting to offer support to coaches baffled by the legalese of GDPR or paralysed by the prospect of fines for data breaches. I have added a little side hustle to my packages to support my fellow coaches with their data protection compliance queries.

My name is Ariadne, and I run The Zunzún. I identify as Cuban-USAmerican, though I've been living in Madrid, Spain for 20 years.
My coaching and training is ikigai-focused ADHD and inclusion, and it's the culmination of my social identities and lived experiences.
It's this type of facilitation that fosters resilience and growth, something that I hope to share with others while I work to put into practice myself.
My why is doing work that I believe in and that strives to make a positive impact. And my hope is that while I become a more proficient coach, it'll help me to be a more successful mom, and vice-versa.
